A few years ago, someone sat down at their kitchen window with a coffee and watched a chickadee land about eight inches from their face.

That was it. That was the whole thing.

Not a dramatic wildlife moment. Not a rare species. Just a small bird, close enough to see clearly, doing what birds do. And it stopped them cold.

That feeling, the quiet unexpected joy of a wild creature right there at your window, is what A Cozy Perch is built around. Not the feeder. The moment.

The first one was a birthday gift for my wife. She loves birds, and I wanted to give her something that matched that. What I didn't expect was how she'd react when the birds actually started coming. She called it her front row seat. She started showing everyone. Friends asked where to get one. Then their friends did.

That's how this started. No business plan. Just a gift that worked, and people who wanted one for someone they loved.

Every feeder is still designed and printed by hand on our own equipment. The colours, the trays, the fit against the glass, every detail has been tested and refined because we live with these ourselves.

When you order, we build it for you. That's not a marketing line. There's no warehouse. Your feeder is made when you order it, packaged with care, and sent on its way within a few days.

The gift side of this matters too.

Most of our orders are gifts, for children, parents, grandparents, partners, friends who once mentioned they loved watching birds. The kraft box, the personalized card, the crinkle paper nest, that whole presentation is part of the product. We want the person giving it to feel proud, and the person receiving it to feel considered.
